We had some powerful storms Sunday afternoon and more were predicted for last night. My husband and I were returning from dinner and I saw lots of roiling clouds so I thought there might be an interesting sunset. Low and behold I forgot about it and then about 8:30 looked out to the north and it was rosy hued with blue clouds. So I stepped out on the balcony and looked to the west and ran for a camera. It was a spectacular sunset with these very deep purple clouds scattered low on the horizon.I probably don't have the best lens for this type of shot as I don't do many distance shots but I sure couldn't pass this one up.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

It looks like your lens worked great to me Kathy.
You and LE have perfect homes for sunsets.

That color on the clouds is something really rare. Well timed good sunset shot Kathy.

Kathy, for a good (sunset) photograph, think that keen eyes and photographic skills are more important rather than expensive photographic equipment. However, the by you've used lens must had been an appropriate one, with the result that the three above mentioned 'items' could perform a perfect match!
Very well done!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
