I visited a spot today where I've taken monarch shots. The two monarchs I saw were elusive for me and my camera but the red admiral was more than willing to pose on the cone flowers. The wing tips were a little battered but it was still beautiful to see.

I once heard from a man who used to collect butterflies as a boy that if you throw down a banana and wait just awhile they will come as some of them love bananas:)...meantime, you caught a good one here and the details on the cone flower are marvelous.
