This is a gladiola type canna - there are also orchid types. It refers to the type of petals they have - wider like these or narrower. I liked this variety because of the yellow edging and the patterns on the petals. The dark background of all the ferns was an added bonus.

Love the coloration of this one. I have not seen these before. What a grand eye-catcher they would be in the gardens! Superb close in shot of these beauties.
