A relative of the bromeliad family but this one is considered an air plant. Its bulb is soaked and the plant grows completely and then subsists on the air around it. They are interesting plants and quite tricky to grow from what I have seen and they do come in all different forms besides the one here.

Kathy, I'm not amazed anymore that you're capable in finding the most rare plants and flowers. I now only suffice to enjoy the photographic representation thereof. Thank you for allowing me to do that.

The colors look especially bright when all I'm used to seeing is overcast, snowy days Kathy.
