I'm posting this in memory of my husband. Tomorrow would have been our 42nd wedding anniversary - he died last July. He loved roses and yellow were his favorite.
Beautiful tribute to honor and remember your beloved husband Kathy - that rose is very special - do hope you're doing well - this past Saturday, June 26 would have been our 56th wedding anniversary.
I am so sorry for plods, Kathy. My wife and I will celebrate our 41st in just over a month, and I cannot imagine being without her. I know that I am a different and better person because of her. I hope you always celebrate at least a little, on that special day. We all change to some degree through the influence of the people we love.
About 20 years ago I had occasion to design and lay out a book of short stories, most involving Americans in Istanbul in some manner. Among other images, I placed an illustration of a yellow rose on the front cover, having learned through research that the yellow rose originated in Persia, and is one of the hardiest of all roses, the 2-inch diameter yellow ^Morning has Broken^ roses, on a bush in our backyard, as testament to that hardiness.

Kathy, it's almost eight years ago that my dear wife has passed away after a marriage of 45 years. I still feel the pain of this loss, so I think to know what you had to go through an still will go through. My wife always said: "Someone isn't really gone as long she or he is remembered." I hope that her saying will comfort you as well. Your contribution is an very carefully chosen commemoration/tribute to your beloved husband!
If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
^plods^? Oy vey, either my finger tips need to go on a diet or I should have a serious talk with my spell check. Sorry, Kathy, it was supposed to be ^loss^ (but I bet you had already figured that out. My OCD would not allow it to go unedited.).
