After much consideration, visits to the library, and too many hours of BBC television, the only reasonable conclusion I can make is this is a closeup of the eyes of a Black Beast of Argh (also known as Black Beast Of Caerbannog), a minor antagonist in the 1975 satirical film ^Monty Python and the Holy Grail.^
In other words, this is a great entry in the contest, a fascinating macro, and, well, I got bupkis.
