This is an amazing fireworks image. Granted, the contrast is a little strong in a few spots but even so, there's very little noise (a real feat in terms of night shots) and I've never seen a fireworks photo here on Caedes this filled with explosions. Very nice. I agree with pics that the vertical format is necessary, however, it's a bit difficult to conform it to wallpaper, the standard monitor being horizontal. Whenever I find a gem image that is vertical, like this one, I usually create a black field the ratio of my screens and place the vertical image on one side, the black then creating an uber-thick frame. This black field also allows me to view the full image and still see my application icons on the side. I run Macs so my open field is always on the right where my dock lives. Since most PCs have their icons on the left you might consider giving this treatment of a vertical a try just to see how it looks. Thanks for sharing this one with us.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
It was really about the timing. I was also using a a 50mm 1.4 lens to get the shutter speed. The only problem was the lack of being able to shoot in landscape orientation, but you do what you can with what you have and i am quite satisfied with this one. Thanks for all of the comments ;)
