I visit this new tunnel it's work related so it was interesting to see how they build it underneith the canal Terneuzen to Gent. Grand opening is on 23th of May this year. Thanx formyour visit!
Els, this is not only an excellent capture, but this would be excellent entry for the 'Vanishing Point' contest as well (If you will be in time to post it). Thanks for showing us this brand new tunnel in its stage. I even didn't see the tunnel (one of its tubes) depicted in the local newspapers. In Dutch we say: 'Je hebt een primeur!' (lol) Very well done.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
That must have been a wonderful experience to see it before it was opened, outstanding depth and detail, fabulous entry and I voted for this a little while ago today

The perspective on this is perfect and I really like the hard lines and the right-offset curve pulling us in and out to the right. Unfortunately it's too soft of focus in the enlargement to actually make use of it as wallpaper. It's interesting that the thumbnail is sharp but the enlargement isn't... I had to toss one of my recent submissions because something at the site mucked up the focus on what originally was a good photo. Perhaps that's what happened here?
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
