It's a World Peace Monument in Bayrakli-Izmir. I want to make a different composition when I'm taking this photo. And I make this composition with jagged building. Also I will add second world peace monument photo soon. Enjoy !

Nice composition and great perspective in this photo, MeriƧ.

I like the symmetry.

A nicely handled image of an unusual subject and interesting piece of sculpture. I think I would like to have seen a shot without the two buildings on either side, as they are of less interest than the sculpture itself and yet they occupy quite a lot of the frame. A shot without these would probably merit high marks in the Permanent gallery.

I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!

Meric - I wonder if the monument would be sufficient on it own without the buildings. WHile the symmetry they offer is nice, the vented utility doors don't enhance the image. Thad

If I could tell the story in words, I wouldn't need to lug around a camera. ~Lewis Hine

I agree with Thad. Unless you were trying for a contrast between the ugly buildings and the beautiful monument, I would have opted for just the monument.

Another post with just the monument. The doors do detract.
