This was a photo I took of an area with lots of Birch trees, not far from where I live. But what I did was to do a 'negative image' special effects in my PSP. This way it looks like snow, but it isn't. Then I did some texture effects using the soft plastic tool provided there. I wish some of you would try this some time. It's so amazing how it can change the whole photo. It was fun and interesting. I'd love to hear your comments please.

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

I'm glad you mastered it. I've tried over and over to get this effect and all I ever come up with is worthy only of the garbage bin, and I don't mean the figurative one either.

Lovely job, Verena. :)PJ

Here I am following PJ again. I too like the effect. I find it interesting you used a birch tree that is normally white anyway. Great photo Verena.

I have got to say, Verena, this is fantastic! I am not usually a big fan of picture manipulation, but this really is good. Very well done!

Very cool effect Verena, the sky against the trees is dramatic.

Really nice. What you did gives it a really strong texture effect which is very striking. It would be interesting to see what it would look like if the pink areas were pale sky colors.

The acid test of good photo. Passes the up-side down test for composition, too.

Love the effect given but like aiced, I'd say, - don't eat pink snow, cover it. 8)
