We had week of warm weather and a group of about 200 monarchs came to an area Waystation to feed on their migration south. It's very late in the season for them to be here so it was a total surprise. I'll have a few more monarch pictures coming!

So clear, Hilda, and the colors are superb. On my monitors, it's a joy to look at this beauty. Can't wait to see what else you saw. A nice bonus that they came at all!!

I tried unsuccessfully all summer to get a decent shot of a swallowtail that comes to my place - and you get a couple hundred and this one!? Super shot, great DOF and a good looking butterfly - thanks Hilda!

Hilda,
Great complementary colours, good depth of field, sharp where it counts and great compositional balance. Excellent shot of a tough subject, I can never get things just right quick enough, the butterfly always leaves. lol.

That waystation has to be a marvelous sight. The first group probably told this crowd about how wonderful it was to make a pit stop here and so they did. Every time you capture one of these lovelies, they are on some very pretty flower like these perfect asters. Beautiful shot, Hilda.
