This was a tricky shot to get the other morning. I watched and slowly followed this guy around my front yard for about 10 minutes. He finally landed in a small tree. I guess he was too tired to fly away, so I was able to get really close. Here is the result. I really like the red shine you see in the wings. Enjoy. Ty.

Yep, I'll have to go along with one ofn the comments above-"that's focus". I studied the wing patterns on the download for a long time. It took me awhile, but I finally noticed that each wing has the exact same pattern as it's opposing wing. Wow. What detail. I certainly am glad that you took the time to run him down, tire him out and get this shot. Excellent.

My,my my Dj, you just seem to keep getting better and better and better at this macro stuff, don't you? Now this is what I call detail angel. It is awesome. The lines in the wings are amazing to look at and the fact that you were able to wait out this pesky guy and tire him out and catch a shot is amazing. This is on my new external harddrive that I got for my birthday so I can run it in my screensaver slideshow as well as have it in my favorite's folder. Thank you sweetie! Well done :~)

Wow, DJ. That's an amazing shot. The c-index inaccuracy is really amazing, isn't it? The detail in this shot is really amazing, as is the symmetry and the color. Great job.

Great capture. I've found that if you take your time and move slow that these little guy will do some amazing posing for you. I've even had them climb on my finger and let me move them to another area. Lovely image.

Wow, DJ. I thought for sure that this was generated. The detail is just too crisp. Now I'm looking at it trying to find the pin that's holding the little critter in place. You must be awfully proud of this one.
