View full size to appreciate. The green eyes on this guy are fascinating.

In April of this year I was walking around the lodge at Wheeler State Park when I noticed that a great many bumble bees had staked out territories and were hovering in place guarding over their piece of ground. Each time another bee came by they would chase them away. The limitations of the hardware at hand prevented me from getting the shot I wanted. So, this greatly cropped and sharpened image will have to do.

All critiques and comments welcome and appreciated.

Good morning, David....

When I see your name pop up on my friends list, I am excited because I can count on you for submitting shots that rarely come my way. Your originality and insightful vision produces some of the most unique shots on Caedes.

I would say that this is almost an abstract since you were reduced to using less than your best equipment. Your cropping choice shows an interesting perspective to the complete composition. Love the variety of earth tones in your photo. Certainly not your best, but I like it nonetheless.

The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

As long as it doesn't LAND on me, it can hover all it wants. Very nice shot.

I have to agree, as long as it's not on me, it can do whatever it wants. Nice shot.
