Cause? An F5 tornado 1.5 miles wide with winds of 210 miles per hour. Houses simply are not built to move that fast.

It's funny how we cling to whatever we can in times of disaster. After a week and a half of clean up and salvage many flags have been found and are displayed among the wreckage. A common bond in desperate times. There really is no place to hide from a storm like this.

Heavy storms at sea have always made me silent because I was impressed by the enormous force of nature. Think everyone who was able to observe the force of this tornado, had the same experience too.
Your image makes very clear what I was saying, DP. Impressive post!

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

Another fine photojournalistic shot, David. Even a brick house couldn't withstand the 210 mph winds. Don't tell the three little pigs. They would have been pork chops no matter where they tried to hide from that big bad wolf.

Hasn't there already been enough suffering and damage. That sky doesn't look very friendly.

Fine shot and tribute to the will of folks even in a terrible time. Nice work here.
