dslr shutter movement..

i have an old praktica 35mm, and love it, i recently bought a new hama tripod, adn ive noticed that, due to the construction of my camera(screw thread for tripod not flush to body)and the weight of the lenses(big old metal ones) that the whole set up is not the most stable, and very sensitive to movement. due to it being an old camera, it has a very clunky mechanical movement of the shutter, and with my larger lenses, and even a wire remote control, im getting movement.
the point of that little story is, im asking everyone who uses a dslr, if there is much movement with the shutter, or is it much more advanced and all electrical and smooth?
any comments will help in my decision of which dslr to buy..
thanks
