I came across this and found the information contained in it to be extremely interesting. I have shared this with a few friends and had the thought, that perhaps some others might find it useful and inspirational.

Here is a synopsis of the tutorial:

"Fairly detailed photo retouching techniques using a gorgeous photo at the ocean. Plenty of before and after samples, actions to download, and more, to bring out colors, remove unwanted areas, cropping, and much more. Good insight here. The tutorial uses Photoshop CS2, but the author emphasizes that the techniques can be used in other versions and applications, too."
