Sigzilla Returns!

The Sigilla or Sigzooka – whatever you prefer to call it – has resurfaced at the PMA show in its final production guise. It’s a Canon or Nikon mount 200-500 f/2.8 EX DG or 400-1000mm at f/5.6. Sigma have given it a bit of a makeover to make it look more user friendly but the new green paint job makes it look even more like a bazooka. Im not sure that any lens that weighs 16KG and requires it’s own external battery pack for autofocus could ever be classed as fully user friendly.

More interesting is the final production release of their DP1 compact camera. It features the same full size foveon SLR sensor as SD14 and a wide prime lens that comes with optional lens hood and filter rings.
