Yesterday was a sad day for me. I just have to vent by telling this story.
I was on a boat, tied up at a dock. I offered my camera to my friend to take a few pictures, so from the boat she was on the dock and I handed it too her. During this I was thinking "damn, I hope it doesn't fall in the water"! So She got it, went and took some photos, everything was good. So she comes back down the dock, I'm still on the boat, she goes to hand it back to me... What happens...just what I hoped wouldn't, she didn't have the strap on and was holding the camera with a few fingers, not to mention a coffee in the other hand. So my precious camera went into the water between the dock and the boat...sunk like a rock to the bottom of the harbor! We ended up retrieving it,...15 minutes later.
I will say it was a funny situation and I wasn't mad. I've herd she was a "klutz" before, but just never believed it. Crap Happens! The funnier part was just as she was handing it to me she asked me "how much was it and where did I get it?", then the next words out of her mouth "REALLY, How much was it?" That's where the hilarity of the situation took over!
So I will be getting a new camera in about 2 weeks, and she is down $275 bucks! But the best part was, she bought a second one for herself since she loved mine so much!
