~utak3r reports that in 1-2 weeks Apophysis 2.03a will be released! This should be good news for those of you who love 2.02z now that it is no more. The new Apophysis will be able to render transparent PNG files, it will support multiproccessors, and it will be even faster! Stay tuned for more information! Until then, you can visit *zueuk to grab Apophysis 2.02z FINAL which should get you by for a while.
*Note .. what this is .. is .. a zip containing a self extracting zip .. which contains a single executable file (no folders or install mumbo jumbo) .. just make a folder in your apop folder called apo_v2.02z (or something) and throw it in there and create a shortcut for it
*Note (part deux) ... It would be WISE to save your favorites from this to their OWN file .. the reason I say this is because this version has some NEW variations and the old Apop might not cope with them (these variations are OFF by default)
I've messed around with it for an hour or more and it has not impregnated my dog .. so .. your dog might, very well, be safe too
ie .. it hasn't crashed my computer
It does some things differently and it takes some getting used to
Also ... there is some references made to the program "expiring" when the new version 2.03a is released .. but the 'about' screen does not mention this .. so figure it stops working about the 15th of October, maybe

*OH .. and one more thing worth pointing out ... You're all probably using a version written by Mark Townsend (apophysis.org... the above link and the upcoming 203a are written by the two names mentioned up there .. (Utak3r and Zueuk .. yes their mothers named them such .. O_o ) ... apophysis is open source software and can be diddled with by any code-warrior .... but Mark townsend hasn't done much with it lately
