Ok...so in a year and a half I'll be attending my 20th reunion. I was thinking lately about my High School days and my 10th reunion.
In high school I was a combo of book dork, band geek, and punk rocker. I had hot pink hair, wore alot of sex pistols, bauhaus, siouxie, and other t-shirts. I thought that "Valley Girl" with Nick Cage was one of the most brilliant films ever made aside from perhaps "Breakfast Club" or "Sixteen Candles" or "Weird Science" or "Pretty in PInk". I was in the Marching Band (percussion), I was on Student Council, and in the Performing Arts Club...as well as on the debate team. The day was good when I managed to ditch school and hit the beach or mall without being busted.
Then at my reunion, somehow I got voted as biggest party girl. Maybe because I had a very unique job (I managed my best friend who at the time was a stripper) and had made a load of money which I blew all to hell...maybe it was because I took 6 of my guy friends to a strip joint during the reunion...I don't know.
In 2008, my 20th will have me as yet another incarnation...cancer survivor, mom, and wife. Wonder what that reunion will be like???
Anyway, I'd love to hear stories from you guys about your High School days, and any reunions. Let's dish here...and don't be afraid to let the truth come out. If you were a nerd, be proud. If you were Homecoming Queen, shout it out.
