I'm a relatively newcomer to Caedes ... roughly two months as a member. In that short span I've made a few friends. Madmaven was one of those friends. The very first one in fact. It was Terri who welcomed me to Caedes, went out of her way to make me feel welcome with an enthusiasm that was infectious. She was like a pixie darting all over the site, posting images, commenting on tons of images, offering support to any and all newcomers, a catalyst in inspiring new ideas for the site. She participated in countless threads and had the gumption to start the Tribute To Caedes. Apparently Terri has decided to leave Caedes. Why she left is not what this thread is about. Read the thread about "Thank You’s" if you're curious, but I doubt it will answer the question satisfactorily. I'm not taking any side in the dispute that took place on that thread. To me it was much ado about nothing. I'm starting this thread because regardless of who was right or who was wrong, we here at Caedes are losing a valuable contributing member. I cannot sit idly by without making an effort to convince her to change her mind. I'm sure I'm leaving myself open to criticism as being an old fool ... overly sentimental ... she's gone ... it's not the end of the world or Caedes ... making way too much of one member leaving etc. etc. So be it. Those members feeling that way need read no further. Someone made a request to Caedes (Geri) to ask her to reconsider. I don't think that's fair to him. Lord knows he has more than a full plate running this site and has little time to be settling squabbles between members. All I would ask of those members who truly considered Terri as a friend or at least an asset to this website to leave a comment below. It doesn't have to be a lengthy comment ... a simple "c'mon back" would suffice. I'm looking for numbers here not tributes. My thoughts are that should she see this thread she might realize just how many members REALLY appreciated having her around. If she doesn't respond then I'll copy the whole thread and e-mail it to her. It's the weekend ... many members may have no idea what has taken place so where ever possible spread the word around. Again I repeat ... Those that think I'm overreacting are entitled to that opinion ... perhaps they are right. I just know I will not rest easy without at least trying to do something to correct a situation that never should have happened and most of all ... I just want my "pixie" back. Thanks for your time and patience with this “old windbag"

Suddenly the phone rings, jarring him back to reality for the moment. Muggsy lifts the receiver and places it to his nose ... Muggsy drops the receiver and slumps to the corner ... closes his eyes and drifts off murmuring " My Pixie's Back ... My Pixie's back ... My pixie's back .... I apologize if I hurt anyones feelings or said something "out of sink"....I've been going thru a big family crisis for a couple months now, am a bit tired out I suppose(with worry, it's a legal problem having to do with someone accusing my oldest daughter etc etc, and I'm very worried about her). I've been so wrapped up in my own "reality" that I guess it didn't seem so important to see people say quite this much just because one person wanted to leave caedes. And Keifer? I think Terri and I were ok aquaintances...we wrote PMs now and then, and we did just fine. So I dont know where you got your idea. But, you know, its just not worth any of this anxiety to me. I hesitated saying anything, and I should have listened to my own thoughts. I have a wonderful little group of tight friends here, and most of them didn't even comment, I should have followed their example. Verena: HONESTLY...I totally agree with you that I am hardly worth all this thread space....and fuss and ado. I enjoy jokes and making people laugh...but not dissention/attention. However...my self worth has definitely been boosted by all the out-pouring of friends reaching out to me. Thanks for your suggestion that I be some sort of boss asst for Caedes....though my intention here has never been to steal any lime-light from you or anybody else here....nor to RUN THE SITE...or be anyone "important"....
I have had many little comments in emails...telling me I am an attention seeker, and even a butt kisser because I made the CAEDES TRIBUTE thread. I did it from my heart, because I have enjoyed a resource here that returned to me, my ability or at least SOME of my ability, to do art. I USED to be a sketch artist. And a writer. Due to Kienbock's disease, I lost that. COMPUTER generated art and photography has given some of it back.
Other artists here...teaching me photoshop, and fractal art.....and guiding me in photography....has been a blessing. I am TRULY greatful to CAEDES/GERI, though time after time...I lash out at him and act like a spoiled brat. I don't think that he would share your sentiments on me being his assistant. :)
Regarding your pm that I just rec'd. You feel I dislike you. I could keep this all private but since Keith was called out on the carpet for defending me...I think it is better to just come out in the open as well. You have not really been much of a friend....in that you were the one on the THANK YOU ISSUES thread who pm'd me and said: You don't REALLY think people will actually return to your art page and see your thank you.....{ you should leave a thank you on THEIR profile page. Then later on...{ just recall your pm to me and another person here....whom I will leave un-named}...and it was pretty offensive and hurtful..{ I saved mine if you want me to refresh your memory and I think he did too?} I know you did apologize....and all is forgiven....but naturally....those things stick with a person. I have not really given you any thought.....I just come here to help where I can...and be a friend to those who DO want my friendship. I am very sorry for all the wasted thread space and dissention and planned NOT coming back at all...but to me, after being emailed links to this thread continuously...seeing the friends who really care....I would be a total jerk not to return.
