Ok – so it isn’t free like TG but the imminent release of Vue looks like it has quite effectively trumped TG2 even before it can see the light of day. You can see more info here and the video footage of Vue 6 rendering is particularly impressive.

Like version 5, the new release is available in a variety of versions again starting with the sub $100 Easel release going up to the Extreme version which costs ten times as much…..

just noticed too - they are doing a free upgrade path from Vue 5 if you purchase it now which is upto 30% cheaper than the Vue 6 prices - nice.

I'm really looking forward to version 6. I was so excited on the 18th, then I find out that it was delayed, but it's best that they work out all of the problems.

Also, the free upgrade path is really very nice. i wish more companies would do that.

I tried to view it b/c it wouldent actually play (quicktime). Um, i guess b/c it's sooo large that 5 minutes wasnt long enough to get it? Ah well, i saw Vue 5's video which was amazingly awesome...

Yeah, I cant wait for it, ive been saving for months. The only thing that drives me completly mad is that my comp is waaay too outdated / slow to finish any kind of render in a sane amount of time. 2.08ghz.
