Thanks

Are you referring <-- (one of my favorite words) to:

1) Your name/nickname/etc in ariel, times new roman, or any other type of font on a picture
2) A logo that you designed
3) 1 and 2 combined.
4) A handwritten sig that you scanned and put in on an image

All of those ways, Photoshop for sure, GIMP maybe, and Infranview maybe. GIMP and Infranview are free to download.

Paint (yes paint) can put text on an image if thats all you need.

*edit* whats a digital sig? Lol.

Hi thanks for the info, I have put a signature onto my latest upload with psp but anyone really wanting to get rid of that could simply air brush it out of the photo or just crop the photo. I just want something that will stop people from downloading my photos and then putting them onto another site and taking credit for it. This is going on right now lots of photos images etc have been taken from Caedas by bad people and put onto a Turkish site as their own. A digital sig can be put on with psp but can't be seen unless you are a paying customer of Digimark so guess thats out as people that steal are not going to pay for software to see a copyright mark. I'm not really clued up with this idea myself but your idea of scanning and embedding a sig might be worth trying, just need to figure out how to embed something :) Thanks for your help.

I have found that putting a small visible tag on my images is generally enough to protect them. In every case so far I have found that rippers are too lazy/stupid to remove them from the image.
