Just wondering...

My dad is looking for a camera that is:

A) Cheap as possible
B) Wide angle lens...equivelant (however u spell it) to a 18mmish or so lens
C) Compatible with time lapse software, and and do time lapse photography (as in it can connect to the computer and take pictures non stop for 8 months, every 3 minutes)
D) Capable of lasting 8 months, w/ pics every 3 minutes without breaking
E) Cheap

My old canon powershot s200 wasn't too expensive back in the day (4 or 5 years ago?). It did time lapse. The lens was definitly not that wide, but i bet most of the canon cameras that are out now will do it. You will definitly want to get the power cord. Also you sure you need one every 3 min? THat is going to be a lot of pictures. Your going to need to connect it to a pretty good sized hard drive.

Well, my dad is going to use it for work.

I found that the canon powershot a520, with this one software, and also using the .7x attachment delio lens thing, it should do the job....and of course a 300 gig hd, computer, tripod, and power (yeah, power may be important) >_>

Thats the cheapest i can find, but....there are cheaper, i just havent found it. :(
