Would it be possible to include the image title in the default download name for images? I name my desktops according to the title of the images used as desktop pictures on them. (When I change a desktop's picture, I change its name.) In any case, I choose pictures based on name as well as actual image and like to keep track of them. If I accidentally forget, I end up with just the Caedes number which doesn't mean much.
It would not be very practical to do this. The name comes from the filename as the image is stored on the server. The filenames have to be unique because all are in the same directory. If the filename was set to only the title of the image then there would be conflicts. Of course you can always add random stuff to the end of the filename to make it unique. My point is that any workaround to make it happen would require a significant changes to the web site.
I didn't mean to suggest I deleted the author, but that's already there. I actually save as author-title.jpg. As to uniqueness, it wouldn't bother me if the number was included as well e.g. author-title-39873260.jpg or whatever. Don't know if that would be practical either, of course, but asking can't hurt (I hope) ...
