Hmm, it seems to me that the strip at the top (with stars and gas) looks like it doesn't belong in the image. When I look at this it seems to me that the overall themes in the image don't seem to correlate with each other (the polka dots in the jewel with the fractal portions, etc).
Unless I'm not understanding what you're trying to communicate with the image. Perhaps this disconnectedness is why it wasn't received as well as some of your other works.

I agree with Canuck. The majority of the work is really good. I just can't see where the strip in the top ties in. Almost like you had two pictures printed off sitting on a desk and one is just set on top of the other. I'd take that strip off and finish out the rest so it all looks like one piece of work.
