Seems that all the new thumbs since Jacquelines "Purple swirls" are blank unless you are in hyper mode in which case they seem to work.

that was the opposite for me.. they worked in normal but not hyper... looks like its all fixed now..

hehehehehe... well hyper mode works fine.. on normal the names of the images are there after my pic but blank thumbnails.. so i'm not that special.. only half special... lol

I am just out of luck....no thumbnails in either mode for me :(......and some of the thumbnails in my gallery are not showing up either!

hmmm well i dont have a problem in hyper mode.. they work fine.. but normal mode isn't working... guess i'm still half special... lmao...

Well, well, I am now half special like Jac.......I can now view the thumbnails in hyper mode whereas previously, I couldn't see a thing :)

I would put my money on the disk and server(s) as the problems.

My favourites gallery has a few blanks as well ... but, they do show up after clicking on them.

I then noticed that most, not all ... of the blanks are archived images. Those in the permanent galleries are not as affected, if at all.

Soooo ... don't hit the panic button. Just some growing pains and *caedes did make mention of this on the "Saving Disk Space" thread I believe and something in regards to being close to having a(nother?) dedicated server to deal with some issues.

Mind you ... it would appear that I lost some entire pages of favs ... for the moment. I think.

But ya know ... my favs folder does look somewhat better.

Sorry for that little problem. After installing the new image server the main www.caedes.net server got jealous and decided to block it from getting any more thumbnail images. It has been properly chastised.

I don't see any problem witht he image right now. Maybe your browser is still using the (broken) cached version? Try clearing the cache.

It wasn't the cache because it was giving me the "chihauhaus" message which I hadn't seen before. Anyway it's obviously fixed itself...

I can see the thumbnails right away, and once at it's page, the larger thumbnail remains blank, but the enlarged version opens right away. help?

Update!! I unplugged my modem and let it re-boot. problem solved... so...cache related?

Only if you modem had some sort of caching function that I've never heard of...

Its so strange - screwed up at work midway through doing some voting. Afterwards had the above problems. At home - no problem - yet...

As far a I know there isn't any real issue on my end. It sounds like it may be an issue with the DNS (some modems have DNS service built-in). We changed the ip address of the image server (i3.caedes.net) a few days ago. By now, all cached DNS requests should have updated. If they have not updated by now then they are being bad and there is really nothing that I can do about it.

O-Oh! Suddenly in the VB, the photos scrolled the author as they were loading! Getting to be fun in there!
