Arrows only show up if you visit the image from a non-author gallery. When you visit such a gallery, the site sends you a cookie with the gallery name. Then on the image page, it reads the cookie in order to know from which gallery you expect the image to be in. This is necessary because each image can exist in multiple galleries.
I´m not sure I understand this right. But in my own gallery I don´t have any arrows now but I had the arrows a few days ago. It´s much easier to browse a gallery if the arrows are there. If they don´t I have to go back to first gallery side and pick up a new picture then back again and pick another picture.
Is this something new?
At first I thought it was my Safari that have some trouble so I empty the cookies, cache and history and clean the computor with OnyX but no arrows :))
Milo said that he still has his arrows and in some other members gallery I can see the arrows in the first picture and click on it but the arrows are gone on the second pictures. Earlier I could go from one picture to another and another through the whole gallery if I want. That was much easier :)
That´s strange because if I look at your gallery Sam, I can see the arrows on the first picture "Planet Brisvegas" but if I push the arrows to your next picture, the arrows are gone and if I go back to the first again there isn´t there anymore?????
You have a Mac too haven´t you? I run 10.3.9 and Safari 1.3.2
The problem must be in my computor :( I thought it could be a corrupt file in Safari but I have tried Firefox, Shiira and Explorer with the same results.
Anyone with a little cloue :)
I test to go out here with my iBook too and get the same results... no arrows. So the problem is not in a specific computor. Maybe it´s my router. I must research it later today.
So there should be arrows on images in the new image gallery? Sometimes I find there are, sometimes not. Right now, not. It's not a caching problem as this applies to new images, too.
Mac OS X 10.4.8 Firefox (latest stable).
I hadn't registered this as a bug because I didn't know when they were meant to be there and when not - just sometimes they were, sometimes not for apparently mysterious reasons!
It´s much easier to browse the image in the galleries with the arrows.
