Okay, so I turned 24 on Friday, May 7th, and I got engaged Saturday, May 8th to a wonderful man named Mark. We would like to get married in the spring of next year. Can anyone tell me the best way to begin planning a wedding and some major wedding "do's and don'ts?" Your help is very much appreciated. Thanks! :)
Congratulations. My boyfriend has already asked me to marry him over a year ago but we have not set a date as of yet. I hope you have fun planning this important event. I wish you much love and happiness as you start your new journey together. There will be alot of people telling you how your wedding should be. Sometimes family members get hurt and just keep in mind that it should be what you both want it to be.
I had to go for a minute. I think the music is important and regardless of your financial situation, remember that the cost of a wedding can also be the down payment on a house. It is not a day to try out new hair or makeup. Try to get as much sleep as possible the night before. Smile for the photos and be sure to thank everyone after the wedding that made your day special. Parents, grandparents, those who traveled a long way for the event and those who financially contributed to the big day. Enjoy the honeymoon. It will seem strange at first to call your fiancee your husband. May you have a wonderful wedding and an exciting new life.
Take care,
Congratulations!
Keep it simple.
Kimcande has given great advice.
We loved our wedding day, but not because it was big or lavish, but because we, and everyone else, felt relaxed and welcome. We had fun, and made sure our parents were at ease. Everthing else flowed from those priorities.
Congratulations Christina! Happy Birthday, too! My advice.....
Relax, laugh, keep it simple (no matter how lavish), that means don't sweat the small stuff! You & Mark are the most important people that day. Everything else just happens to be there. No one will know if the centerpiece is off center or if the cake is decorated wrong..your happiness & peace together as a couple is what matters the most! ENjoy & keep us posted!
