In my humble opinion .. an image NEEDS a subject, a reason to look .. and the two images in your gallery have yet to strike a chord with me .. black and white can be a very pleasing medium when you show subtleties of light and shadow, and I feel that your presentation is far too contrasty in addition to a lack of subject

Judging by the fact that your two images, thus far, are of the same style .. I will assume that it is a style you are interested in .. I would experiment with High Dynamic Range (HDR) in order to lighten your silhouettes .. perhaps include a few recognizable silhouettes into the mix, such as an oak tree or cactus (whatever is available)

I agree with Keifer, whilst overall I think this is quite a well taken and artistic shot it lacks a centre of interest.
