My work isn't getting any comments lately.

I've just got a new camera so I really do need comments and tips on how to make the most of it, but my latest images aren't getting more than three comments each and it's really getting annoying.

Any comments appreciated :o)

I would like for YOU to show ME that you understand the effect that aperture has on an image .. namely, shallow depth of field

if .. THIS guy is close at hand .. re-shoot him so that the background is a creamy wash of color ... same angle you have here, but also look for other angles

if the forlorn guy is your subject, why let me see, and be distracted by, anything behind him .. only show me what you want me to see

or, in this case, what I want you to want to show me
