Hi!
My name is Tero, I am 28 and I live in Finland.
I am about to embark on a video project that has been brewing in my mind for some time now.

The Result: will be a tribute video to the beauty of our planet, with vistas captured by the artists of Caedes. The pictures are to be solely from Caedes, so the video would be a tribute to the skill in Caedes as well.

The Way: I will try to collect 40-70 pictures, some of which I will rake out due to limited time of video (approx. 10 minutes). The selected pictures will be added to the video, with panning and zooming motions over the beautiful scenes, with a touching tune by Kitaro playing over the whole. (If I am able to get the right with a reasonable cost).

The video will then be aired on Youtube (and hopefully on Caedes as a link) and other sites that allow video uploads. I will not charge for this video, it will not be commercial in any way, instead I will endeavor to spread it for free and as widely as is possible for me.

The artist who let me use their pictures will be honored in the video end titles, but their names will not be shown on the pictures for they would break the mood.

PS. Those whose pictures end up in the video can opt to get the full quality video on DVD from me, I will pay the postage, unless it climbs over 4 euros (approx. 5,5 USD).

You need to ask each artist for permission before you can use their images.. i'm sure most will agree..

yes, it does look like I have to go artist by artist, but maybe at least some will read this and give the permission witout me having to ask straight. =)

Hello Hukka, thank you for your pm, but i do not want my images used in your project.

I have several reasons for no permission.

First of all, you have not given a sample of what the movie will be like, and secondly what other postings will be shown in there.

I invest a lot in traveling and in camera equipment, and will only post the images myself to my likings, using othermans images is not the right way to do things in my eyes. You live in a beautifull country yourself, (Finland) and you can shoot all the images, or most of them, and still get a great movie without using someone else his work.

Last thing, i do have about 15 pages with 36 images uploaded here at caedes, i would say that this would have left you with many options to make a reply here and there, but you failed to do so. I could not find even one single reply.
Since you did not show any interest in puting down some interest of feedback to my images, i find it rather odd to donate them freely to you now, and therefore i must decline your request.

I want to wish you all the luck with your project and i am sure that you will make a great video without my input as well, i am sure of that, since there is so much talent here. Furthermore, i find it great that you want to reward the people with a dvd on your cost, so, good luck with the project.

Thank you all for the contribution!

Not all images requested for made it in to the final video, which now is in cut&edit phase and should be ready within this month.
Normally this project would not take so much time, but I am doing it aside my work, my girlfriend, my association duties and my friends also demanding time from me, so please hold your horses, the result will come! =)

Ok, The edit is done, now all that needs to be corrected is some of the pics that were not sharp enough. Only a few, luckily. =)

After this I need to find out how those whose pictures made it into the final cut want to be credited, with their real name, or their artist name. So we are close to being ready, people!

I apologize for the delay, I've seen one relationship end and another one start during all this. That kind of took my mind off the project for awhile, but now I'm back. =)

And the final phase is over!! After I got answers from most of the participants on how they wish to be credited, I was able to come through.
Triumphant even in the face of setbacks in work- and lovelife, and my own laziness (LOL), I have have now the DVD-version for the ones who wanted that one. The video version for Youtube will be online shortly. =)

WOW!! Tero.. I just had a look at your video what a magnificent piece of work, beautifully put together, perfect music too really like how you have the credits at the end of all of our contributing Caedes members...
