Olympus has announced a new top of the line pro model in the E series cameras – the E-3. It slots in at around the Fuji S5/Sigma SD14 price range so cheaper than bigger Nikons or Canons and offers all of the usual Olympus benefits and a raft of new Zuiko Digital lenses and accessories. The only worrying aspects appear to be that Olympus seem to be withholding cameras from review sites which may or may not be a bad thing and the optional battery grip which looks about as ergonomic as razor wire dental floss, would have been much better integrated into the body. – it goes on sale next month with the lenses on staggered release over the following few months.
