could someone help me out. I know a few years ago the only way you could change your appearances, i.e taskbar, icons etc was with styleXP, stardock, object.. and the like. I don't like those because I can't pay for those. I did find a way to delete Style Xp and keep one or two but since I reinstalled XP I can't find that way

Could someone tell me how I can change the appearance.

It is a shame to have those boring ol bliss' and royale's with these great wallpaper

thanks

You can change the theme by going to Display Properties and clicking the Theme tab, and choosing a theme with the pull down. Or, Windows > Resources > Themes.

Bliss is an XP wallpaper. To choose a different wallpaper, you can click on the Desktop tab of Display Properties, and either choose a different background from the list, or browsing to Windows > Web > Desktop. This was the default location for stored StyleXP backgrounds.

Not sure if this is what you mean.

FAQ: Using msstyles for Windows XP, Everything you wanted to know @ neowin.net

“Hack” Windows XP Visual Styles @ softpedia.com

the neowin article is kinda old .. the link seems to work, but you'll have to figure out which .dll version you need

try the multi-patcher @ softpedia

I'm using StyleXP .. so I have not voided my entry into heaven .. (Bill Gates owns it, you know)
