I'm considering deleting my original image for Messy Doodle, and I'm going to be putting up another version of Electric Dragon (although I suppose that you should see it before deciding) . And do you guys think I should keep Soul Mate up? I just don't want to clutter anything up w/ revisions. Comments and suggestions are much appriciated!
You REALLY ask alot of questions in the discussion forum, but hey, I guess that is what they are for.
I do not think "clutter" is the right word for more than one version of an image. I do not draw much at all, but when I take pictures, I generally take many pictures of the same thing, and choose my favorite to post, and I have considered posting a second if I really like it as well. If I want to manipulate a picture I already posted, I would still keep the original up, as well as state that it was the original.
If you want to post another version of an image, keep the original up for comparison as well as a progress marker for yourself. If the second version is immensely better than the first, the former image may be deleted, but it will probably get high ratings as well because of the diversity of interest groups on this site.
Judging how others will react to your art, or any art for that matter, is literally impossible. Don't be surprised how people will view different versions of your work. It is up to you, but I would not delete an image unless it became an embarrassment to me (which has happened!) :-) I hope this helped...
The second version of your first image wasnt changed much, just the framing. I would delete the original to save server space. I believe caedes would agree.
