Kim Komando has 3 tripods that are very unique in that they are bendable and portable. You can bend it around a tree branch or level it on an unlevel surface. Pretty cool. There are 3 sizes. From point and shoot through SLR with a telephoto lens. The largest and most expensive is only $54.95. Remember these are not full size tripods but portable ones. I personally do not have one but received the information in her email so I can't say how they work but I am going to order one. Some of her coolest items are for babies with a line of stuff (tee shirt, bibs and onesies) that say iPood. Not iPod but iPood. What a laugh. Merry Christmas to all. Terry.

I have seen those before and i don't think i would trust it to hold my camera with a telephoto like the one it has in the picture. Perhaps they are stronger than they look, but i don't see them being rigid enough to hold that kind of weight. Does anyone have experience with them that can say differently, or maybe someone that can confirm their usefulness.

No one wanted to pay to say something in my sig, so i will have to try and think of something creative now...

I personally prefer a normal tripod. :) Not really many things to latch onto for landscape shots; and even when there are things, it forces in taking a photo from a single, fixed, less than ideal perspective.

But I can see where these may come in handy. They might be useful for holding off camera flashes and such.
