You know, I've never known what the above greeting means .. I just heard it in a movie and thought "hey, I could use that and sound worldly" .. kinda like saying "aloha" .. right? ... *basks in the glow of his worldlyness* ...
So? .. does anybody know? .. I'll be right back .. (*runs off to google the phrase*)
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.

since I don't do MUSH very well .. I shall leave you with a story, something I also don't do very well
RE: Christmas shopping
did I ever tell you the story about working at GEMCO? .. it was a store here, opened in November of 78 (I was 18) .. just in time for the Christmas shopping season .. I worked in the warehouse ... people would come in and do their entire kid's Christmas toy shopping .. 6 shopping carts FULL .. they would put it on "layaway" .. which meant they only paid, like, $5 and it was held for them to come back, like a month
the sales girls on the floor, due to the fact they got poor training on the matter, would take these carts to the warehouse and give each one a push .. one cart going here, another going there ... only ONE cart had the tag that said all six carts were together ... I, and others, had the job of organizing these purchases into a location that could be found when the time came
well .. the time came ... one guy, showed up, Dec 23rd'ish .. said his wife was in the car and "ready to POP" with their newborn child .. could I hurry ... I hurried, I couldn't find it, he left, toyless
one lady showed up Dec 24, she had about six tags with about 30 items on each tag .. toys for her kids, mostly ... couldn't find them .. can you imagine? ... my BOSS said to go out on the 'floor' and try to re-assemble the lists .. ??? .. have you ever worked in an environment where the nice decorum of civilized life is cast by the wayside for the sake of a cabbage-patch doll .. or Barbie's Dress-up Playhouse ... the toy aisles were, not only empty, but a disaster zone .. the in-demand items were long-gone .... and this poor lady had to do all of her shopping in a matter of 4 hours, when only 5 minutes ago she thought she was completely done and free of the stress ... la-la-la-la .. I got my shopping done!!
sure, sure, sure .. us 'guys' do that all the time .. rush out and pick up a nice cheery seasonal card .. something to thank our own Mrs. Clause for all her efforts since the last Ho-Ho-Ho punchline ... but, women! they're ill-equipped for this ... had I been married to that poor woman, I think I would have had to splurge for two cards ... and, hopefully, I would have the presence of mind to make sure they were both from different card-bins
One Christmas when the kids were little I got the bright idea to do that very same thing Keith. So about in October we went Christmas shopping & got a slew of Christmas presents & put them in law away & paid like 10 bucks a week or something on & I felt so proud & smug on Christmas Eve cuz we were done & all we had to do was go to the store & get them.
Us & everybody else in Cleveland. We got there at 7 & were there until 4 . And Gary still had toys to put together ! Yeah... a fun & memorable Christmas... gary wouldn't let me do that again.
And yes.... Jacqueline knows EXACTLY what I want for Christmas !!!!
My Christmas gift to you all ....
love in your hearts .....
happiness in your homes ....
and peace in your world.
Merry Christmas to you all !
