Can You help ?

I would be very grateful if some of you who voted on This Photo could explain your reasons for scoring it so low.(Or anyone else who would care to comment :) )
I am not complaining about the 33 it got but would genuinely like to know what its failings are. I had a couple of remarks about the colouring - that in fact was the main reason I posted it - because I thought the colours were unusual. Is that its downfall or is there something else ? The comments it received were pleasing, but the score tells me there is something wrong very with it.

Thank you Rebecca, I really appreciate that.
I guess I over processed it - and I have just looked at it on my 'other' monitor - CRT - where it looks awful. Perhaps it should have been in 'manipulation'
Guess its for the 'bin' :)

Oh wow! The original is so very different! Yes, I think this one can be chalked up to a case of over-processing. Perhaps another try at it would yield some better results.

My immediate impression is that it lacks sharpness (especially the landscape on the horizon) and appears a bit col in terms of it's colors. Although seeing your original I think it is an improvement I think you simply didn't have enough decent daylight to begin with...

Thanks everyone - yes the more I look at it the less I like it. I have made another version I will try to upload now - I hope it is different enough to be accepted. I will delete the first one soon, will leave it for a little while for comparison.
Sam - I have tried to sharpen up the horizon landscape a bit. I can not really blame the natural light - just checked and it was 2.05 in the afternoon lol. So much for 'evening'. Just have to blame poor photography and over enthusiatic fiddling.
If any of you have time I would like to know your thoughts on the 'new improved version' - provided it is accepted.

(I named the new one A Golden Summer Evening Revisted, perhaps it should have been A Dull Summer Afternoon lol)
