Okay I know this probably has a obvious solution, but i don't know:) I need someones' help. I got a new camera that is of higher mega-pix and when I go to upload my photo it writes (error photo has to high of mega-pix). I'am not sure if I need to change camera setting or pc!? How to compress my photo? Hmmmm If someone could help me it would be most appreciated.

Thank you,

E~

Are you refering to uploading to this site? Or your computer
The size limit for Caedes is (i think) 3000x3000 pixels. If you need to compress the image you can reduce the size of picture in the camera or do a size reduction when you export the file. Refer to your photo programs help file to learn how to that, its quite different in between the types of software.
Hope that helps

Download GIMP (it's free; simply google it to find the free download). It's sort of like photoshop, but not exactly.

Anyways, there should be a menu in GIMP that allows you to change the image size ... Simply resize it to something like 1600px wide, or to whatever you choose and have the constrain proportions box checked.

Just play around with the program.

One important note: don't decrease the image size in your camera (by taking lower quality photos) ... that just defeats the purpose of buying a new camera! :)

Umm .. well there is compressing and resizing. What you want to do is resize, not compress. Compressing a jpg image file will create 'jpg artifacts'. Resizing changes the actual resolution of the image; computer screens have, for example, 1280x800 pixels as their resolution. So a 1280x800 pixel image would fit perfectly on that screen. But you're camera takes photos at like ... over 3000x2000 pixels which means you'll have to shrink it so it will fit on a computer screen (which are rarely above 3000x2000 pixels). Caedes will take your largest image size and make smaller sizes; so, if you post a 1600x1200 image, it will create, for example, a 800x600px image also for those who have monitors that are 800x600pixels.

In any case, just download GIMP off the web, and it will resize your image (you might need sum1 else to explain how to actually do it; i've never used GIMP, but I do know it does resize images). Resize it to 1600 pixels wide to start with.

PS: A pixel is one of those little squares that make up the picture...zoom in a lot and you will see a bunch of boxes. (not sure if you knew this or not, but just making sure).
