My site update - Once again

I've once again updated my site. You guys are getting tired of me now, I can tell, but hopefully this will be the last design change for quite a while.

Check it out and let me know wha you think. I'm quite satisfied with it.
The link is Final Frontier.

Thanks for taking the time!

No prob surfing the site. Nice, clean interface. A little spacey, maybe...

I'll get on it ASAP. Can't imagine how I could have let such a huge error slip through ;)

I've just finished modding my forum. Unfortunately I have to host it on a different server (I'm only allowed 1 MySQL database) so take a look at the forums

Have you considered Websensei hosting?

I don't know if it is the same for everyone who did try to go to your site but for me the link is very slow... And I know by experience that people while surfing on the net are not very patient. They tend ( including me) to close the link and go somewhere else whent it is not fast enough.

Once I'm on the site it is better, more fluide (except when I'm on the home page and want to go to the gallery or the others links... it is still slow at that point).

The design is nice and clean but maybe a bit cold and formal. I can't really feel your personal touch behind the design. Grey/black/white tones are a good, neutral choice of colors but another color more harsh would contrast nicely I think (maybe a bit of red or blue in the "final frontier" banner?).

The differents links are ok, but when I'm browsing the site I can't return to the 'Home' page (maybe because I'm not registered?)

Just some suggestions... it is a nicely done clean, practical 'gallery' site...

I have the same problem as Cain, It navigates fine, but takes a long time to initially load. At first I thought it wouldnt load, and closed it. But then I went back and read Lucy's comment.

Mmm... strange. Perhaps there's a problem with my domain name. Try using http://finalfrontier.fi.ohost.de and see if it still gives the same problem.

nope, that one works fine. thats quite odd, I dont see how it would be a problem with the domain name, after all its just a pointer.

Ok, it seems the problems with my domain name should be sorted out now. So give http://finalfrontier.za.net a go again and see if it's faster this time.

Yeah, looks good.

Flashes up a syntax error though (on either URL). Maybe some problem with the code, but it doesn't stop the page coming up.

Don't know what that syntax error is. Guess it's a server side fault. Checked my code, and it seems fine.

I've added a new Apollo Mission Gallery with 44 images I've re-worked to wallpapers. I still need to add the descriptions, but I'll only be able to do that in a few days time.

Well - I'm impressed! I'll have a closer look when I get time. It's very easy on the eyes and the navigation is clear and unambiguous. I think you've done an outstanding job!

Yet again the site has been updated. It now features a totally new look. I think this version is a bit easier to use than the previous one, and it has a more "integrated" look.

Let me know what you guys think.

When i went to your site I was initially confused as to where the pictures were. I would suggest renaming the album button to galleries or something similar to that.

The layout is nice, and the site is very stream line. Loads quite quickly, good filesize management. My only grief would be the difficulty in reading the "Gallery Online" in the top right tab because of the color scheme. Same with the label on the bottom left of your navigation bar which I think says "transmission"? A horizontal scrollbar appears in 8x600 for some reason, even though the tables are set to expand properly it seems? Either way nice work. Moodflow's images compliment the site well.

Well, the "Gallery online" and "transmission" images don't actually serve any purpose except providing a break in the text. Strange, there shouldn't be a need for horizontal scrolling at 800x600. What browser are you using. For me it works fine in both IE and Firefox.

Using IE 6, at 800x600 it creates a horizontal scroll that barely moves, it does the same on this PC in IE 6 (different PC from the one I checked it last time)

Well, I've moved servers for my site and I'm now using Websensei Hosting. Thanks to Caedes for all his help.

I've added a new article section to the site and would like some feedback. So if you've got a few minutes to spare, please check it out and let me know what you think Planetary Fact File
