it doesn't really matter what system we have/have had, if you're not going with the ebb and flow of the treacle tides preferences at any one particular moment then you may be in for a shock/disappointment. if there is one thing we have discovered when it comes to manipulating a system of voting, where there's a will there's a way....

expanding on that (and this is not in direct response to your reference to Randy) you also have to differentiate between 'pro' photographers and those who are using prosumer equipment to 'shoot fish in a barrel in auto mode' as someone once - correctly - pointed out to me.

Hey mista, I take offense to that!! Prosumer!! I don’t float that way, I’m TOTALLY into chicks!! None of that M&M stuff either!! Twix is always in my mix!! 8~D
I didn’t see the original, un-edited post, but adding 2+2 I came to a précis.
Voting has ALWAYS been an issue and will ALWAYS be an issue, even if changed. I appreciate the value(s) you hold, but, others slide a different way. Caedes host a plethora of people of different ages, religions, intelligences, etc. Some fractalious people aren’t into photos at all and vice versa as some photographers aren’t into fractals, yet we all vote or have the right to. Sometimes I feel like I upload a very nice picture, but myself wouldn’t have it as“desktop wallpaper”. It does say that right below CAEDES. Sometimes I just upload stuff, whilst other times try to make it as “desktop wallpaper” friendly as I can.
Remember Hottrockin rules 1 – 10;

Oh yeah, and do the above for yourself, not others.

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??
Hopefully my friends on Caedes will continue to let me know their thoughts on my images and as many of them seem to possess a high level of expertise I will simply trust their word.
Thanks to everyone who's been helpful with me trying to improve. I hope you will continue to do so as I truly appreciate all of your comments.
