TZ5, D40 and macro gear for sale

Hi all. I need to trade up to a camera with higher linear resolution for my prints at ImageKind, so sadly my beloved D40 has to go. There's also a Panasonic TZ5 for sale. The TZ5 is a stunning compact with a huge zoom range - I've been very impressed with it. My entry for the latest competion, Curves 2, was taken with it.

As I purchased a used Nikon 105mm micro lens I also have a variety of macro gear available for sale including Kenko extension tubes (for Nikon), BR2A reversing ring and a Canon 28mm lens. The 28mm can be reverse mounted on the BR2A (with a step-down ring included in the BR2A sale) for something like 2:1 macro use.

All my equipment is very carefully looked after and in tip-top condition. If you're interested in buying please check my eBay listings. I'm happy to answer any questions either on this thread or via PM from either caedes or ebay.

Ouch Robert, I'm not exactly new around here. The post was a well-intentioned heads-up for anyone looking for some good-quality equipment from a long-standing member they can trust.

I'm more than happy for a moderator to delete my post if it's against the rules (even in spirit) but I wish you'd contacted me if you had a problem with the post.

Jonathan.

I don't think there is any issue with selling your own gear like this on here. If you were making a business out of it thats a different story, but this kind of post is not uncommon around the different photography communities i have visited. Perhaps we could even have a buy/sell section of the message board.

Hi Jan, I'm afraid I can't tell you the answer to that one. I've always been a Nikon shooter and that lens was purchased specifically for reverse-mounted macro shooting. All I know is that it's an FD mount, but that means almost nothing to me.

Hopefully a Canon afficionado can step in and answer.
