OK! Culprit - I looked at your picture, and because I cannot keep my opinions to myself, I will share them with you. (and anyone of 100 million people who may read this) When I first saw your picture, I thought "Wow a Leaf closeup" how nice. Then I viewed the photo in a much larger size. You Rat! you said you were new to Photography! This picture was taken by someone with a much more mature and experienced style. The perspective is unique and interesting. BUT! the photo as a whole makes me dizzy, why did you do that? The photo started with genuine interest, and then you artsied it with all the blurry background. I can detect some circular motion in the blurry background that adds to my dizziness. Lucky for me, I was not enjoying any adult beverage at the time. I will stop my comment here with this simple advice: Learn how you use the camera before you use the camera. For a beginner, your first shot made me dizzy and is hard on the eyes. I think you have a unique style you are trying to display, figure out how to lessen the severity of the blurry background and your photo will generate much more interest. Keep up the interest and your work will be good.

While trying to create good pictures, I feel as if I am standing on the edge of Insanity. There is a door. I found myself knocking on the door. The door opened.. . . I was knocking from the inside. Oh Rats!
