Any suggestions on books that might be helpful with learning techniques?

I am looking for anything and everything to help me learn about photography... for all subjects.

Bryan Peterson's " Understanding Exposure" is a good place to start. It is always good to read the manual that came with your camera several times over too. Brenda Tharp has a good book about Nature Photography, also Tim Fitsharris' Nature Photography if that is the kind of photography that is appealing to you.
