Back to the VB I guess. I posted two photos, but before I posted them I did 20 images in the VB. Then I discovered I needed to remove one image. That's ok, but I feel that when we have to do that, it would be good if we got "credited" and the ten images I voted on would be "saved" for my next posting. It's just an idea, but maybe it could be done. Verena

Votes are only good for 12 hours...that is the way it has always been Verena. Plus, you made the decision to pull your image, it was not the site's fault and even if it was, voting on another 10 images is not going to harm anything. It is good for the site as a whole and voting prior to uploading is *caedes way of exposing more images to everyone and leveling out the voting process.
Hope this helps you understand why a 'credit' on votes cast would not be a good thing :)

I understand, and I dont always know the "details" of this site. I've been here for a number of years yes, but I dont find any harm in asking a question, sometimes it might even help someone else who won't ask for some reason. I feel the "MUST" in having to vote on ten images is a lot, I dont mind, and of course I do it, but just thought it might be nice to get a little "credit slip" so to speak. No harm intended and no judgement either.

Because if your saying you wanted to use your I think, saved votes for the next time around, since they've already been charged to your Caedes account so to speak, that's not how it works. If you want to vote less one time than another than just do so, that's fine as long as you vote your 10 votes.

It's great that you voted when you had the choice not to, but I just don't see people getting credits for things like that.

If they do, I want credit for my time spent reading the endless threads on other VB matters that never ever ended. I definitely want my time back .... in fact ... I think I want a time refund ! ;-)

Verena, perhaps if you looked at voting the way one might look at, say, placing money in a collection plate at church. It's done voluntarily, and if you dropped in $3 instead of $2, would you chase down the usher to get back the extra single?

Try to see it as just an "extra" good thing you've done :o)

Having an account of votes and taking from the bank to satisfy the upload requirement is interesting. I never thought of having a "checking" account and when I am ready to do an upload, just make a withdrawal from my account.

But, I guess, bottom line, I like Rob's analogy of the collection plate. It seems more honorable and in line with the giving of one's time rather than just placating a system in order to post.

I think Verena brought up an enteresting question and I thank her for that. I like to vote, so maybe that is where my mind is, anyway. I think I like the present situation the best. It too was well thought out and presents no hardships. It is good for both those needing review and those wanting to post.

Ok, thanx, its all ok, I wasnt complaining, I just always think its good to bring something up, others do it for their own reasons, and it was just a thought. Thanx "case" for your input. I appreciate that. I don't mind the voting at all, I like seeing the photos I may have missed. Like I said, it was just an "idea" a "thought" nothing more. Thanx for responding.V
