Once again I have voted on 10 images, then I tried to post my photo 22 minutes later, it took SO long on caedes that it said suddenly I had to vote on 9 more images! So tonight it looks like I will not be able to post. That's not so horrible, but it gets tiring to constantly be asked for more votes, when I had just voted, and my waiting wasn't my problem, it was that caedes was very slow at that time. I don't mind the voting, I kind of enjoy that part, but I DO mind having to vote on 19 or 20 images just to post one of mine.

Verena, simply avoid posting images in between the 3:00 - 4:00 a.m. E.S.T. time window. For now. As that is when the site servers are performing maintenance, I believe.

Which ... can result in a number of things. Not the least of which are delays and then that of some errors for you.

Others have been experiencing similar situations where the number of votes required to post and participate in the voting booth, have not been the stipulated ten (10).

Here is what *caedes had to say on the situation, just yesterday:

"Ok, I've tried to figure out what the problem is, but I've been unsuccessful so far. Therefore, I'm going to change the way it works. More info as I figure it all out."

I usually end my day by doing my posting and editing between 10 pm and 1 am Pacific time. So I don't 'mess up' other things at my home..but I will find a new time. Right now I will try, and it is 7 pm my time. Thanx...for responding. Verena

Verena, just caught your most recent upload. Namely; "Snow White Roses".

Did changing the time of your posting/uploading 'smooth' out the wrinkles in the process for you?

Ok, just saw your posting on the thread linked to above.

Apparently, one issue was resolved ... that of being "timed-out" by shifting your upload/posting time, however ... not so much on the number of votes required.

Be patient. It will get sorted out, rest assured. :o)

YIKES>....I just voted on TEN images....then I went to upload one of mine......it asked me for TEN more....sheesh...I am running out of time...at midnight posting becomes real real slow...what's a person to do.....a total frustration...can't help but wonder where the fix up problem might be.....I don't mind the voting..but I do mind the time I am losing...this is supposed to be relaxing...LOL

an eBOMB is when you click a pop-up ad and it spawns ten more pop-ups .. which then spawn ten more each

Ok....I even tried to do the voting during the day. GUess I'll just refrain for a while not to post til this bomb is over..V

well, Verena, you could always post an image without it being eligiible for voting, and then when your problem is solved, vote again and put up a voting-eligible image.

I posted this afternoon & the site was slow, yeah.... but after I voted on my 10 images it didn't ask me to vote on 10 more or anything, I just uploaded & everything was fine.


Verena, if you're waiting for any length of time between voting & uploading, like you said in your initial post.... that could be your problem. 22 minutes is a huge amount of time between voting & upload.

Well, I've heard of several other people having the same problem, posting 18 instead of ten..etc....and mr caedes himself said that there are some problems he is working on. So I guess I'll just have to not post or be more patient. V
