how do you find a certain authors work? or is that function not available?

If it's available, I've never found it. I do it the hard way, find any image posted by a certain person, click on their name, then look at their gallery. Sorry, I know that's not much (if any) help to you. :)

I think that the easiest way would be to go to the author gallery...this will list each author and an image of theirs...you can click on the image and it will take you to their gallery.

I found it...go to wallpaper search in the Navigation area. Type in the name of the author and it should pull up something click on the image and then when the image pulls up...click on the authors name...there you go.

I've tried searching both the Wallpaper Search, and the Author List, and couldn't find what I was looking for. Would it be possible to sort the Author List page alphabetically? I've told people that my stuff is on Caedes on page 18...no, 17...no, 18....no, 16. It seems to keep changing, and I'm confused as to how the authors are arranged. I'd like to be able to tell people where to find my work if they ask, without having to guess at which page it's on at any given moment. Thanks for any comments or help folks can offer. :-)

Hmmm....that's true. I could do that. But that would involve remembering the URL in everyday conversation. I still think it would be easier if people could search alphabetically. But in the absence of that, emailing people the URL, I think, would definitely work. Thanks. :-)

This is a good topic. When my girlfriend gabi joined I couldnt find her gallery. None of her images appeared when I searched for her name and there was no point in looking through the author list as I dont know how it is sorted. I had to click through the new images section until i found her first picture, then save her gallery in my favorites. Maybe an author gallery search should be added to the site other than just the picture search. Also was just curious as to how the Author List was sorted and how the picture for the author was chosen. Never could figure it out.

You can choose which image is displayed in the author list by using the "edit profile" link. As for how it's sorted, it's based on the C-index of all the author's images. (A very simplified explenation - perhaps a mod can explain in full)

As Crusader said, the Author List is sorted by total c-index. IE, the more high rated images you have, the closer to the top of the list you are. As for how the picture is chosen, you can choose yourself as Crusader said, otherwise I imagine it would be the first image you upload.

Isn't it your highest rated image? I could be wrong though.

Maybe. Most regular artists have chosen their own, and they're the only ones I usually see, so I'm really not sure.

I think it is your first uploaded image, until you change it.
