C-index

On August 28th, 2009 I've uploaded my 'Zeeland Folklore 28' post.
I've chosen for voting on this image in the VB, buth more than a month later (situation by september 30th, 2009) it has got no C-index.
See under 'Caedes Control' that this image got 9 votes, but this situation hasn't changed for more than two weeks.
Images which were posted later, got, without any problem, all a C-index.
I'm curious what the problem could be.

Hey Cornelius,

You are not alone in what you are experiencing. As this has been brought to our attention a couple of times.

Quoting from another discussion thread, this is what is most likely occurring with your image noted above:

'In case any other member has images in their galleries that have yet to garner a C-Index, here are the official words from *caedes':

"We are currently catching up on the voting. I have fixed the system so that each image will get the maximum number of votes over a 3 day period after being uploaded. However, some images before the fix did not get enough votes, so we are slowly going through these older images to make sure that they get at least 15 votes. Once all the older images have 15 votes, they will all get c-indexes, and the system should become a lot faster."

So, it would appear that the timelines match up and your image (unfortunately) is kind of stuck at 9 votes and is in the process of catching up, so to speak.

I will state, as well ... some other words that I think are relevant to this matter and once again, from another discussion thread already posted on this subject;

'Even if this image of yours doesn't garner the necessary votes ... it will not be overlooked for inclusion in it's respective category of the permanent galleries. :o)'

Thanks Les, for answering my question in such a proper way. It's very clear to me now.
I didn't notice that this topic was already brought forward in the past. Sorry that you had to pay attention to it again.
Regards, Cornelius.

"Sorry that you had to pay attention to it again."

No need to apologize, Cornelius. Much better to do as you did here, and report such matters to this forum.

Enjoy the rest of your day. :o)

No worries, Chris.

This will work on a couple of levels actually.

Seems like you uncovered a glitch or bug as well. Because if I click on your link ... it leads to the page that informs that the image in question has been deleted or is missing. So ...

I will post an enquiry on your behalf to find out what has transpired on the C-Index front and then that of the link problem.

Be patient and stay tuned. :o)

I had to look through your galleries to find your photo. And it is, in fact, located at the URL in your link:

Copied shortcut from Chris' link:

Actual image's page URL:

Ok, one mystery down.

Your link contains a '/' in the URL ... that ends up corrupting it.

Still stay tuned on the scoring/C-Index front.
