Help with manual cameras?

I was just wondering if anybody had any tips on Manual Cameras. I'm hoping to get a simple 35mm Manual Camera. I'm starting A-level Photography after Christmas and those are my requirements. If anyone has had any experience or has seen any good review's etc. could you please post them here.

Obviously being at college it needs to be a fairly reasonable price.

Any help greatly appreciated, Thanks
Chris.

a lot of times, you can check in your photography department around campus and people will sell their cameras they got for the class for a good deal and you will get a good camera too, so i would just check around the department for postings there, otherwise, i have a pentax camera and i love it, but it was a christmas present so i dunno bout prices

While there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see. --Dorothea Lange

Chris -- here's a start for you: HERE and reviews HERE. I recommend the Canon EOS Rebel GII SLR with UV and polarizer filters.

Good luck!

Yes, the GII is good choice for a first camera.

Ok, Thanks alot for all the comments, I was looking at the 'Canon EOS Rebel GII SLR' and I spoke to my Uncle who teaches Photography A-level and he agrees its a good starting camera so I might go for that. Thanks again :D
