so are you saying you have aol? Did you pay for it? or do you just go to the drug store and pick up some free 540 hours disks? I personally like aol disks. They make excellent coasters to protect my desk from glasses.

You can get AIM for gratis, why anyone wants it is beyond me, it's from AOhell....

There is another thread about screen names, shouldnt be too many pages back. You should look it up, I hear some of the caedes members to communicate that way quite frequently.

you can also have aol IM without having any of AOL's software...Trillian and Easy Messenger softwares are examples.

Personally I think messenger services are obsolete, when you have services like skype. You can talk in real time in twenty countries and even be able to conference call up to four people at a time and stile text message as if you are on AIM or MSN. You can send streaming Video.

you can talk and use streaming video with both MSN and AIM. Skypes talk feature is better than both, but MSN has the best streaming video. the benifit ot typing versus talking is that you can type to multiple people at once, and also not have to respond right away without being rude :)

But you can talk to four people at one time on Skype. And Tex message at the same time to others
